Leonard has developed a significant safety-first culture over the years. The following programs are followed company-wide:
GENERAL PRACTICES:
- All Leonard personnel meet twice per month for safety training.
- PM’s and Superintendents have OSHA 30-hour certification.
- All carpenters have OSHA 10-hour certification.
- All on-site Leonard personnel have training in areas such as CPR/First aid, fall protection, scaffold training, confined spaces, silica, GHS, etc.
- We retain the services of a third party safety consultant to assist with safety policies, training, site inspections, etc.
PROJECT-SPECIFIC PRACTICES:
- Daily JSA’s with Subs and in-house crews
- Superintendent daily safety operations inspection
- PM conducts safety inspection each jobsite visit
- Third party inspections are conducted randomly and reported directly to Mike Leonard
- All Leonard employees are trained to be aware of safety-related issues and are fully authorized to correct noted violations, including shutting down operations, if needed, to avoid an incident.
- Conduct weekly toolbox safety meetings with all personnel working on site
